Session boundaries and participation rules

These rules are published to keep expectations clear before participation. They are not legal advice; they explain how we run community sessions in shared public areas across London boroughs.

Before arrival

  • Review route notes and weather update sent the same day.
  • Wear footwear suited to wet pavement, if relevant.
  • Bring personal medication if needed; leaders cannot provide medical support.

During session

  • Report discomfort immediately.
  • Stay within visible range of the group guide.
  • Use public-space etiquette for shared paths.

When we pause or cancel

  • Surface risk (ice, severe rain, flood alert)
  • Air quality warnings
  • Staffing below minimum supervision threshold

Incident and safeguarding path

  1. Step 1: Session lead records concern details immediately.
  2. Step 2: Practical support is offered on site where appropriate.
  3. Step 3: Follow-up note sent within two business days.
  4. Step 4: Serious incidents are escalated under safeguarding procedure.
